Truisms

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this - ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

21. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.

22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent an A-hole from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

28. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year?

29. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

30. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

31. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

32. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

Cannon Beach and Thanksgiving!

Well I got to spend a great weekend in Cannon Beach with a couple of the best ladies in the WORLD!!! Traci's sister-in-law manages a hotel in Cannon Beach, and had a connection with a house that the owner (who lives in florida) has up on the mountain there. So we were supposed to be renting the guest quarters of the house... but when we got there, the key wouldn't work, so we ended up getting to say in the main house... It was GORGEOUS! My pictures don't quite capture just how cute it was.

This was the main entry room. I LOVED that showcase. It was HUGE!

This was one of the bedrooms, I like this one the best, the bed is like tucked back in this little nook. There was a sweet balcony out the sliding glass doors. Each room had its own bathroom.

Another bedroom. This is the one we all crammed into, haha.

The bathroom sink was my favorite part. In fact I like the whole little cabinet thing haha.

The fireplace and table. The fireplace was very cool. You can't see it very good from far away but it was encrusted in all these seashells.

The little kitchen nook. And right outside there was a big hot tub that we spent a couple of hours in the first night we got there. It was heaven! I want one now haha!

Me and Traci girl!

Traci taking a nap!

Trace and Emily!

This picture just makes me laugh... Good effort Em, we almost had all of us!

Pictures in Big Jake!

Seeing New Moon! My head looks huge in this picture...

Great movie :D I was a little excited...

THANKSGIVING!!!

MMMmmmm....

More goods!

My dad and Grandpa. Every year my dad has us go around and say what we are most thankful for this year. This was Grandpa taking a minute to do so. It was very sweet, and very touching.

This is me and Hallie playing with the camera. Its almost exactly the same picture that was taken a couple of years ago, look how big she's gotten compared to the next picture!!!

All in all its been an awesome weekend, full of friends, family and good times! I'm SO thankful for my awesome family! I don't know where I would be without them!

Whats been going on!

Well I will say it again, I am SO overdue for a posting! I know I said I'd try to update every week, but the I remembered how when I was younger I tried to write in my journal each night and then going back realized just how boring it got to talk about the same things everyday! Haha, random, BUT moral of the story is that I think its better to just blog when I actually have something to talk about :P Which is the excuse I'll give myself when I take forever and a day to post... Okay... anyways...

So life has been pretty good to me lately. I'm still working for the new office in Oregon City, and truly at this point think that having to find a new job was a blessing in disguise. I'm very happy at this new office, and see that I'm growing leaps and bounds in with this new position, and seeing all that I am capable of. I have an awesome team that I work with, and they make the job seem much less like work! Besides, I think its important to actually enjoy where you work and the people you work with because you spend the majority of your day with them!

Also, we celebrated birthdays for Jayce, Avery and Ryder at the end of August. They had a BLAST! They each got their very own birthday cake to destroy! Avery was kind of unsure... and DID NOT like getting her hands dirty in that cake! Ryder took a little while to warm up, but jumped right into it soon enough, and Jayce went hog wild! He was getting in Avery and Ryders cakes too! Little piglet! I can't believe how big they are! It is so much fun to see them, and their little personalities. It makes me excited for the time when I will have a family of my own. Haha... I'll tell ya, they are teaching me patience, and they're not even MY KIDS!

Ryder J. I LOVE his faces! He's so vocal now, always talking jibberish!

Miss Avy. She wasn't quite sure what to make of all this...

And Jayce. If it slightly resembles food AT ALL... it goes right in the mouth!

Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! This officially makes it a year since I've started blogging. You'd think I'd have more posts to show for it! Oh well!! I went to a barn party on Friday night with my friend Emily and a few other people. It was pretty fun... but I bought some black boots from Jessica Simpsons line... and they are ADORABLE... but FREAK! That girl must not wear her own shoes, or have no feeling in her feet anymore. My feet were DEAD by the end of the night! We stayed for a few hours then we met up with Tony and just hung out at my house for a while. Saturday night I spent helping Casey and Wendy get the kiddos ready for Halloween. They looked SO CUTE! Then I went over to Aerin and Blaynes house to hang out. It was fun being at a house where there are actually Trick or Treaters! We have NEVER had any, because we live in the heckboons (sorta!) Shannon did an awesome job of passing out candy to all the ghouls, gobblins and princesses! It was a pretty fun night, with great company!

Jayce the Giraffe!

Avy the Chicky! She looked HILARIOUS and was diggin' wearing this costume!!!

Hallie was The Little Mermaid. She about had a freak out when we put the spray color in her hair, but finally we convinced her to let us finish, little stinker!!

And I don't have pictures of Ryder yet, but I'm counting on Lacie to upload some to facebook SOON!

For myself, I did the normal, unoriginal SheDevil. It was EASY and CHEAP. Emily was Flo, the chick from the Progressive Insurance commercials, it was HILARIOUS! I love the costume! She looked awesome!!

Welp, thats it for now folks! Bed time for me!!

Update time!

Oh man, I am SO overdue for an update! I guess I'll just jump right in and fill everyone in on the happenings of the summer! We had our family camping trip during the end of July. We went to the Rock Creek campground in Bend Oregon (One of my VERY favorite places to be!) It was an awesome camping spot, and HUGE. Josh and Sophie, and Heather and Val came too. We all had a blast. Todd's parents always scope out and reserve a great spot for us, because they live in LaPine so we get spoiled! The lake we were on was more of a fishing lake though, and kinda yucky, so we drove a few minutes up to Big Cultus lake. MY FAVORITE LAKE EVER! It was awesome. The water is like luke warm, and perfect. Its really shallow and sandy for maybe a quarter of a mile, then it dropped off into deeper water. Perfect for the little kids, and boy did they love it! Mom and dad couldn't come, because my dad had to work, but other then that it was great. Here are a few pictures!

The lake by our campsite. Somebody took some time making those cool little rock statues

Part of our Campsite. See my sweet cot tent over in the corner... best Christmas present EVER. I love that thing!

Hallie, Ashy and Rory. Those were some dirty kids! Nice face Ashlyn!

Some deer that wandered right up into our campsite. They weren't shy at ALL!

Jayce being his cute self, getting ready to head to the lake in Daddy's truck!

Also, I started a new job! Its back to the dental world I go!!

FINALLY Its been killing me not working, I was starting to go stir crazy. If not fore my adorable nieces and nephews to keep me busy... whew... who knows what could have happened. I wouldn't be responsible for my own actions :P I really really like this new office, and the girls I work with are great. They are making a transition into my role as Patient Care Coordinator very easy. The Doctor's are all great too. I have my own Doc whose schedule I'm in charge of. Funny story is, I actually worked with him, way back in the day!! He is fresh out of dental school, but before that, he worked at the same Sandwich shop I did, Sargo's Subs. His parents were actually the owners. So when I met him, he goes, "Hey, I know you!" It took me a second.. but I guess all that dental school stuff really worked out for him :P Also, I'm making a little more money, and getting some more hours. It took longer then I anticipated, but I'm happy I'm not having to commute to work. Its just up on the hill in Oregon City. Haha, I'm not at the point where I'll start hating going to work yet, but I'm sure I'll get that dreaded feeling soon enough :P

So, my first week of work just happened to start on the same week as good ole' Doughboy! For any of you guys who don't know what The Doughboy is, let me explain. My family and extended family on my dad's side do 2 events each year, where we sell Elephant Ears (fry bread type of tasty treat : ) ) or as we like to call them, Doughboys. They're scrumptious treats and people come year after year requesting their much awaited Doughboy. As much fun as this is, its also SO TIRING!! Its hard work, but the benefit is the fun we have with each other as a family. I was blessed to be born in a great family, and we are all very close. We live close to each other, but don't get to see each other as often as we should, and its fun to spend time with each other, even if it is slaving over a hot fryer! I remember SO looking forward to the fair when I was a kid, and working in there... now I just can't believe how stupid I was! Anyways... another year down, and we're done till July of 2010!!

Uncle Lloyd helping get set up

Not the best picture, but you can kind of see what they look like, add Cinnamon and sugar...YUM!

To add to the craziness around here, both of our labs just had sets of puppies. We have dogs coming out of our ears! But they're OH SO CUTE! They're fuzzy and look like little bears. Jayce thinks they're cars, and pushes them around the wood floor making "vroom, vroom" noises. Too cute! We had Brown, Silver and Black... so if ya know anyone one lookin' for a puppy, TELL ME!

Oh... and I found this picture online. Thought it was fitting of the guy supposedly running the country...blah!

Other then that, its been fun. Just enjoying hanging out with my family and friends. I can't believe summer is almost over! Thats whats happening for now! Bed time!

I'm getting sucked in....

I'm officially starting to get sucked into this whole "couponing" thing... it is addicting! Ha, its like a rush when you get an awesome deal! The biggest word of caution is to not just get things because you have a really good coupon or deal. Stick with your normal products... Swagbucks is one of my new favorite things. You earn points and can get really good gift cards, and prizes just by using their search engine! SO COOL!

Search & Win

I look forward to learning all the tricks because I think it will be an awesome tool for me when I do get married and have to take care of a family, and budget on a limited income. You know how things are when you first start out, its usually a struggle! So I'm going to get myself going now! Haha... hopefully this will take the negative conotation off of coupons in general, as it really is getting much more popular. Good luck!!!

Dr. Suess Quote

"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you." -Dr. Seuss

I found this quote on a random blog I was looking at and loved it. That Dr. Suess was a pretty smart guy :)

Cool Video

I received this email and thought it was pretty sweet. Read before watching the video!

If you thought that the people who set up a room full of dominos to have them knocked over later was amazing, you haven't seen anything yet.

There are no computer graphics or digital tricks in these images. Everything that you see happened in real time exactly as you see it.

The recording required 606 takes and in the first 605 takes there always was something, usually of minor importance, that didn't work. It was necessary for the recording team to install the set-up time after time and it took several weeks working day and night to achieve this effect.

The recording cost 6 million dollars and it took 3 months to finish, including the engineering design of the sequence.

The duration of the video is only 2 minutes, but every time that Honda shows the commercial on British television, they make enough money to support any of us for the rest of our lives. However, this commercial has turned out to be the most displayed in the history of the Internet.

Honda execs think that it will pay for itself simply because of the free showings. When Honda senior execs viewed it, they immediately approved it without hesitation -- including costs.

Everything you see in the sequence (besides the walls, floor, ramp and untouched Honda Accord) is part of two automobiles. The voice is that of Garrison Keiller. The commercial was so well received by Honda execs when they saw it, that their first comment was how amazing the computer graphics were. They almost fell out of their chairs when told that the recording was real without any graphics manipulation...

By the way, about the wind shield wipers in the new Honda Accords, they are sensitive to water and designed to start working as soon as they get wet.

Getting out of the stone ages...

This post is namely for my brother-in-law Todd... He for as long as I can remember has given me crap for having Facebook... Well one day, I was going about my business, and as I logged into my Facebook, I have a friend request... FROM TODD!! HA! I guess one of his college prof's said that he needs to get caught up with the direction the world is moving, and that includes Facebook. So... this was all so I could just say "HA!!!! Sucker!" :D Next thing I know he'll be blogging, then I'll know the world has come to an end.

Annnd... this picture just makes me laugh...

WHAT A DAY!!!

Okay, what a day! WHEW! So I'm a little overdue for a post, since I said I would do it weekly, buuut oh well :!! Well today was interesting to say the least. Here I was minding my own business, driving 205 Southbound, just about 5 seconds to my exit, and CRUNCH! I hear something rip into my tire... Aww $#*% is all I can think. So I quicky get on the off ramp, and immediatly hear this whooshing sound. Great... just great. And start feeling, thump, thump, thump. By the time I was to the top of the ramp my back drivers side tire was completely flat. I then slowly make my way to the 76 station right off the freeway and call my pops. He shows up about 20 minutes later, and we proceed to get the spare on until I can get it to Les Schwab (who by the way gave me 1/2 price since I just got these tires put on in December :D ) As you'll be able to tell from the pictures, the tire was completely unsalvageable. I'm pretty sure it was a license plate that I hit, and you can see it sliced right through my tire. PAIN IN THE ARSE is all I can say. I HATE car stuff. I swear I always have SOMETHING I have to do to this stinking truck. Anyways... here' are some pictures...

Here's my awesome dad (in his sweet hat :P ) to the rescue!

Flat as a pancake!!

The Giant tear/gash in the side( its easy to tell now why I literally heard the air rushing out of the tire while still driving)

Its a good thing I have an awesome dad who will drop whatever it is that he is doing to come help when I need him. Any of you who know my dad know what a stud he is :D He's always been the kind of man that anybody can call on, in any situation, and he'll be right there, to help however he can. What a great guy! Thanks pop, and I love you!

Gross...

So my Uncle sent me this video clip... Chris Angel is weird!!! I'd like to know the tricks behind him, because they're pretty trippy to watch!
